What types of clients does StanhouseFP work with?
We work with clients in all life phases: early years – in prime earning years – nearing retirement – in retirement, as well as divorcees, widows(ers) and lottery winners.
We work with folks from all walks of life, including the following:
Sr. corporate executivesWhat do all these types of people have in common – they all understand the value of objective financial advice.
Financial Planning and advice can include many possible topics.
Some typical concerns:
Appropriate rate of savings for your life stage and circumstances(See Resources tab for more discussion of some detail on some of the most common topics.)
In a nutshell we believe in risk-appropriate diversified portfolios of low-cost mutual funds, index funds or exchange traded funds(ETFs) work out best for most people in the long-run. We believe in long-term strategy over short-term tactics.
There are three types of relationships we can have with clients. They are described below along with who is a good candidate for that type.
Someone who knows they want help, but are not sure where to start.
Someone who may feel they have a pretty good handle on their own finances, but would like to have a professional provide a one-time objective review and advise on their situation.
Someone who feels comfortable with performing most of the investment related activities themselves but wants to partner with a financial professional who is available as needed throughout the year for advice and consultation. They wish to have periodic review/updates, typically annually, to be sure they are on track.
Someone who would rather focus their time and energy on other things than keeping track of money and related actives such monitoring, making investment decisions and corresponding transactions.
During their working years they may want to focus on their career and family.
During their retirement years they may want to focus on enjoying life and family. They may prefer spending time for example on fishing/golf/travel/grandchildren rather than on spreadsheets.
